Robert Forster was great at MK considering on his own without backing, His band the Go Betweens probably greatest of all time just check out Liberty Belle Album, maybe he should have done his more catchty numbers.
Richard Hawley was excellent and original even if a bit to distorded in this venue.

Fantastic gig! Loved the electric saw, the guitars, the double bass – everything! Didn’t expect the Australian singer/songwriter to perform for 45 mins first though. Speaking to a large group of the audience after his ’spot’, not one person liked him. He was described as being stiff, obviously bored and without personality. Richard more than made up for the Aussie!
